On display

The past few weeks have been very exciting for me.
Back in August, I entered a contest sponsored by Photo Nights Boston as a part of Art Week Boston.  After seeing my submissions, the Improper Bostonian chose one of my images for the lead page in an article about an event called Photorama.  At the event, 10 foot tall images were projected onto the walls of the Cyclorama showing off work from many Boston's talented photographers.  I was lucky enough to be included among them.
I was also invited to donate an image for auction to benefit the Aids Action Committee as part of the ARTcetera event held at the Castle at Park Plaza.
The event was a great success and I am excited to say that my piece sold!  Thank you Kara and Elizabeth!

The way a 90th birthday party should be!

This past weekend I photographed a party on Cape Cod for a very special person.  Katchy is an amazing woman with a very beautiful family.  All ten of her children and nineteen grandkids got together to celebrate her 90th (!!) birthday and party the day away at her son's beautiful home.  I am very grateful that I was a part of their special day.

Waking up with Willie

Colors, calmness, and beauty: sunrise is one of my favorite times of the day.  It doesn't matter where you see it, it is always something special.  The other day, our good friends took Joanna and I out on their boat the "First Cut".  We cruised the Charles River and made our way into Boston Harbor just in time to see an incredible sunrise over the city.  It was a perfect way to top off a sunrise photo series of the Cape and Boston.  Here are some of my favorite shots...

My other line of work

Ok so as many of you know by day I work in construction. This is a post and beam pool/golf house shaped and inspired by a barn.  I was lucky enough to be a part of this project from beginning to end.  After completion, I was asked to photograph it.  This is the first real architectural photography I have done. I am pretty happy with the end result.  Being part of the build team made it that much more special. Check out more cool projects that we have done at http://www.bolalekconstruction.com
